    Very fascinating structure to visit. information boards around it explain what it is and how it became to be there. the bells sound really nice and ring out every half hour.

    Even without the bells sounding, this is a wonderful part of canberra. there's a peacefulness about the area, despite the bike riders hurtling hither and yon at illegal speeds. walking into and around queen elizabeth island takes you to an even more peaceful area.
